They were the real stars in France !
This one is specially dedicated to RYP from Twilightzone, the best blogger of the (o) zone.
When they came to Paris in 1983, the Real Kids were already adopted by the french public. The whole story has obviously started there with their first single produced by Philippe Garnier in 1977 on Sponge Records. After that, a Real Kids fan club in Bordeaux (west of France) took the affair in hands and supported the group through the early eighties, with the help of the New Rose label and the Nineteen (19) fanzine.
In 1982, a new album went out, "Outta place" and the band came again to Paris some months after. New Rose published a souvenir of the evening set. It will be reissued later in CD with other studio material. But it's another story.
Enjoy this rare live set.
And visit this superb
Real kids fan web site, showing the whole disco plus the different family trees.
